“Indian DX Report” first appeared on Wavescan, the DX program of Adventist World Radio & WRMI, on 30th October 2011. This is the only DX report on Wavescan from India in recent days and it is edited and presented by Prithwiraj Purkayastha, a DXer from Jorhat district of Assam state in India. Presently the “Indian DX Report” is being broadcast on every 5th Sundays in a month with five Sundays.
When Dr. Adrian Peterson, the DX editor of AWR and main man behind Wavescan, was living inIndia (Poona) he started RADIO MONITORS INTERNATIONAL program over SLBC on every Sundays at 1100-1130 UTC where Alok Das Gupta from Kolkata contributed and started SOUTH ASIA DXREPORT on every 4th Sundays of the month. This was during the 80′s and 90′s. Mr. Jose Jacob from Hydrabad started a monthly DX segment over Wavescan and during that time it was recorded in Hongkong. So “Indian DX Report” is another edition of DX supplement from India and now it is produced in Assam, a north east Indian state with diverse culture and heritage.
From January 2013 "Indian DX Report" is being broadcast via KBS World Radio from Seoul, South Korea, in its Saturday mailbag show Worldwide Friendship which is now renamed as KBS Listener's Lounge. IDXR on KBS Listener's Lounge can be heard every last Saturday.
