KBS World Radio- Indian DX Report: 11th Edition

INDIAN DX REPORT: Part-17

Namaskar and hello friends!! I am Prithwiraj, your host for this November edition of Indian DX Report here on KBS Listener' Lounge and today I would like share with you some of my very recent important radio station loggings received here in my QTH located in Jorhat on the banks of mighty Brahmaputra river in North East India. 


First some updates on regional stations of All India Radio. I heard AIR Shimla station on 15th of this month on 4860 kHz around 0125 UTC with fair signal and AIR Kurseong from North Bengal was heard on 4895 kHz around the same time with News in Sanskrit and Hindi. AIR Imphal in Manipuri was heard on 16th November on 4775 kHz around 0100 UTC, AIR Gangtok I heard around 0130 UTC on 4835 kHz, AIR Shillong is also active on 4970 kHz and AIR Itanagar is loud and clear on 4990 kHz around Indian morning hours. 


Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation or SLBC was received around 0130 UTC on 11905 kHz with Hindi film songs and commonwealth summit coverage on 15th of this month. On the same day I heard SHIOKAZE- the Sea Breeze in English from Japan with fine reception on 5975 kHz from 1630 UTC. Around this same time I monitored KBS in English was also coming fine on 9515 kHz. 

Vatican Radio in Hindi was received clear on 16th November from 0040 UTC on 9560 kHz. On this same day I heard Radyo Philipinas with many updates on disastrous Haiyan typhoon in English from 0200 UTC on 17700 kHz. Myanmar Radio in English on 9730 kHz from 0700 UTC, Voice of Mongolia in English on 12085 kHz from 0900 UTC, Radio New Zealand International in English on 15720 kHz from 1059 UTC were also heard well on 16th November at my QTH. Radio Nikkei in Japanese was received with fair signal on this day on 9595 kHz around 1400 hour UTC, KNLS broadcasting from Alaska was coming fair too on 9655 kHz in English around 1510 UTC. 

Voice of Korea broadcasting in English from Pyongyang, North Korea was received on 9870 kHz from 1630 UTC, Radio Deutsche Welle in English was heard around 1900 UTC on 11800 kHz, Radio Exterior de Espana in Spanish was heard loud on 9590 kHz around 1915 UTC, Zanzibar Broadcasting Corporation from Tanzania was heard on 11735 kHz around 1930 UTC, Radio 

Belarus in English was active on 11730 kHz at 2030 hour UTC, Radio Nacional da Amazonia from Brazil in Portuguese was also heard with fair signal around 1920 UTC on 11780 kHz. 


And at last here some new frequency updates:- 

PCJ Radio International broadcasting from Taiwan on Sundays has changed their frequency to 9335 kHz due to interference disturbances on previous frequency and NHK World Radio Japan Bengali service can be heard from 1st December on 13615 kHz to avoid disturbance on current 12035 kHz.
